Figures checked on

Privacy policy

This policy covers https://usbenefitscalc.com. To estimate SNAP, Medicaid or a tax credit you have to describe your household, your pay and your rent, which is exactly the kind of information that should not travel. The calculators were therefore written to run entirely in your browser. The publisher is established in France, so the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to everything the site does, for every visitor; residents of US states with a consumer privacy law keep at least the rights below.

This site sets no cookie, and the calculators store nothing on your device.

1. Who is responsible

Radif Partners
49 rue du Ressort
63000 Clermont-Ferrand, France
contact@usbenefitscalc.com

2. What never leaves your browser

Household size, ages, earnings, Social Security or unemployment income, rent, utility bills, child care costs, immigration or disability status: all of it is processed by code running on your own device and is never sent to us, to an agency or to anyone else. The "copy share link" button writes your figures into the page address so you can send the calculation to a caseworker or a relative; whoever receives that link can read them, so choose who gets it.

3. What is processed

Hosting logs

Like every web host, GitHub records the IP address, time, requested page and browser type of each request to keep the service secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest. Retention follows GitHub's policy.

Anonymous stability monitoring, without cookies

To find broken pages, the site loads Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, Dublin) in cookie-free mode: errors, load times, dead clicks and scrolling are measured per page view, without cookies and without linking visits, and page content and everything typed are masked. Microsoft receives the technical data of the request, including the IP address. Recordings are kept 30 days and aggregates up to 13 months. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a working site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object by blocking clarity.ms or by writing to us.

Emails

If you write to us, we keep your address and message to answer, and delete them three years after the last exchange. Please do not send case numbers, Social Security numbers or copies of notices: the amount you question and your state are enough.

4. No sale, no sharing

We do not sell personal information, do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising and do not build profiles. There is no advertising on the site.

5. Recipients and transfers

The host, GitHub, Inc., is in the United States; request data may be processed there under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

6. Your rights

You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, or object to processing, by writing to contact@usbenefitscalc.com; we answer within one month. You may also complain to the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL) (https://www.cnil.fr).

7. Children

The site is meant for adults managing a household budget. It is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing from them.
